What is OOK?
OOK is the official cryptocurrency of the Bookoora ecosystem, designed as a utility token on the fast and efficient Solana blockchain. It serves as the lifeblood of Bookoora’s flow of information, enabling seamless transactions and rewarding contributions across our platforms. With a fixed supply of 1 billion tokens, OOK is built to support a growing community of learners, creators, and educators.
For at least the first half of 2025, OOK will primarily fuel the expansion of Bookoora Learn, our innovative platform for educational content, including trivia, test papers, and interactive learning tools. As the ecosystem evolves, OOK will unlock even more features and services across Bookoora.com.
How Does OOK Work?
OOK integrates directly into the Bookoora experience. Here’s how it’s being used today:

Tipping Contributors: Users can tip or donate OOK to creators on Bookoora Learn who share their public Solana wallet addresses. Whether it’s a well-crafted trivia set or a challenging test paper, you can reward contributors directly from your Phantom wallet.

Community-Driven Content: We encourage our Learn Stream contributors to curate high-quality educational resources. Tipping with OOK fosters a vibrant, supportive community where knowledge is valued and rewarded.
As we grow, OOK will power additional utilities, from exclusive content access to platform maintenance and global outreach.

Token Development Fund
The OOK development team currently holds 34,612,900 OOKs or 3.46% of the total supply in a designated account. You can verify this on SolScan here. We also maintain a secondary support and testing account, viewable here.
To ensure stability and trust:

The development account is locked for 4 months starting 20 February 2025 1030pm SGT (230pm UTC).

Vested over this period, 25% of the held supply will be released monthly to fund operations and growth.

Global Content Creation: Paying volunteers worldwide to curate and crowdsource trivia and test papers in multiple languages, grades, and syllabi for Learn Stream.

Create test- and use-cases of implementing OOK into different products and services (OOK Lab scenario). Viable ones may be incorporated into Bookoora.com's various products and services.

Q1–Q2: Roll out exclusive and unique Bookoora.com content on platforms like Bookoora Learn's Motivator Mode. These could be AI or non-AI videos, films, shorts, casual games or voice-mode interactions with tutors - some purchasable or incentivizable with OOK.

Q3: Partner with educational creators and institutions across different countries or regions to certify high-quality Learn Stream content.

Q4: Explore additional Bookoora.com services integrating OOK, such as premium subscriptions or marketplace features.
2027: Maturity and Scale

Q1–Q2: Scale global volunteer networks to support 10+ languages and diverse syllabi. Consider approaching schools and educational institutions to use Bookoora Learn for supplementary, preliminary or weighted assessment test paper use in digital form, in lieu of physical paper that has an impact on the environment. Bookoora Learn's core mission is to simulate actual test paper use-cases in digital form, in lieu of physical paper. This includes scoring methodology, post-submission rating and archival for retrieval and referencing (for students, teachers, schools and ministries).

Q3: Launch a governance model, allowing Bookoora.com subscribers and OOK holders to vote on platform upgrades.

Q4: Position OOK as a leading utility token in the EdTech space, with a thriving ecosystem across homes, schools, industries, and ministries.
